Another season of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls golf tees off this weekend in Norwalk. The Tigers are one of seven teams competing in the annual Norwalk Girls Golf Invitational Saturday morning at the Warrior Run Golf Course. Among the opponents are Raccoon River Conference members Bondurant-Farrar and Carlisle. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network asked members of the ADM Girls Golf team last week about their season opener in Norwalk. Senior Emily Neumann describes the Norwalk meet as interesting. “It’s an 18 hole meet on a nine-hole golf course, meaning you play each hole twice,” Neumann said, “It’s a great opener, I feel like, because every team going to (the tournament), it’s their first meet.”
Neumann adds the Tigers have multiple new golfers on the squad this spring, and the meet serves as a good introductory event. Tee time for tomorrow’s Norwalk Girls Golf Tournament is 8:30 a.m. from the Warrior Run Golf Course.
