The Perry boys and girls soccer teams are gearing up for the start of a new season.  The squads have been practicing since March 12th and will start the season over the next seven days.  The Perry boys team will start the campaign this Saturday with their annual Perry Soccer Tournament at Dewey Field.  Gary Overla returns as the head coach and will be looking to guide Perry back into the state tournament for the second straight season.  Perry lost in the semifinals a year ago.  The Bluejays will face Des Moines North, Lewis Central and SE Polk.

Gilmar Guerra and the Jayettes will begin their season next week on April 3rd with RRC foe Winterset.  The Jayettes made it all the way to the substate final a year ago and return nine starters off last year’s squad.  Perry will open the season with back to back conference road games.
