Monday, March 26th
1:25am: Randal Bereolos reported his neighbor was outside in the yard creaming at 504 South Walnut Street. The officer made contact with the neighbor, who advised he was outside singing. The officer advised him to go inside and sing.
11:37am: The Greene County Middle School requested an officer at 203 West Harrison Street for an unruly student. The officer assisted the staff until a guardian showed up to remove the student.
11:38am: Brittany Cory reported receiving a harassing message on Facebook from a Jefferson male. The officer could not provide her with any assistance with the Social Media issue. She was told to block the subject.
12:43pm: Jennifer Wills reported subjects attempting to sell aerial photos of her property to her at 506 West Stanford Street. The vehicle had left the area and the officer was unable to locate it in the area.
12:58pm: Shannon McHugh reported Unauthorized Use of her Debit Card to an officer. The bank holding the card had closed the account and reversed the charges.
4:27pm: Kevin Coil of Oregon called the LEC to report the government was covering up a murder, which occurred in Jefferson years prior. He advised the government was controlling nationwide school shootings, etc. The officer contacted local authorities in Oregon, who are familiar with Coil. They were going to conduct a Welfare Check on their end.
4:06pm: Amanda Bacon spoke with an officer about her concerns with Facebook postings from her juvenile son, who lives with his father in Jefferson. The officer will share these concerns with the DHS Case Worker assigned to the case.
7:09pm: A caller advised the subjects attempting to sell aerial photos of property to owners were just in the area of North Grimmell Road. The officer located the subjects a short time later. They had not registered to make “Sales” within the city and were told to cease doing so.
7:35pm: Jerry Spaulding reported a suspicious subject in the area of the 400 Block of Mahlon Street. The officer did not locate the subject.
7:39pm: Brad Beadle spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Property Issue occurring at 506 South Wilson Ave.
8:03pm: The Carroll Police Department requested assistance from a Jefferson officer in a “Stop and Hold” on a vehicle involved in a situation in Carroll. They advised the vehicle was eastbound on 220th Street, towards Jefferson. The officer stopped the reported vehicle at 606 Hwy. 30 East and gathered information from the occupants for the Carroll Officer.
7:37pm: An officer was requested to go to 108 East Central Ave. #58 and pick up medications the subject wanted to surrender for disposal. The officer did so.
10:51pm: An officer assisted Des Moines PD by conducting a Welfare Check on a female in the 100 Block of East Central Ave. The officer assisted EMS with transporting the female to ER to be seen by a medical doctor.
