The ACGC girls track team will officially get their season started tonight at Greene County. The team is using every advantage they have to prepare for the upcoming season, including the surrounding landscape.
Specifically, head coach Colin Shawgo sees an advantage with the increase in elevation behind the track. “Guthrie Center is a great town to train in, because we do have a lot of really nice hills. Both large ones and small ones that we use to our benefit all the time to make our girls stronger both physically and mentally.”
The field in Jefferson includes athletes from: Paton-Churdan, Manson Northwest Webster, Gilbert, North Polk, Ogden, and South Hamilton. First events begin at around 4:30.
