The deadline is approaching to file nomination papers for Dallas County offices for the upcoming primary election.
All nomination petitions and affidavits of candidacy must be filed with the Dallas County Auditor’s Office by Wednesday at 5 p.m. There are five offices up for election this year in Dallas County, including: County Attorney, Recorder, and Treasurer, as well as the Board of Supervisors in districts one and three. In order to be placed on a party’s primary ballot, individuals must obtain a certain number of signatures of eligible voters in Dallas County. For the democratic and republican parties, 100 signatures are needed for each office, while libertarians need 36.
