StuartThe Stuart City Council will meet in a special session Monday.

The Council will review a site plan for Karl Chevrolet expansion efforts. With the expansion the dealership hopes to add a used car lot, maintenance/service center, and parts store. The additions would create around 50 jobs, each paying an average of $40,000 per year.

The Council will also consider a resolution setting a public hearing to vacate an alley at 623 West Front Street. Other action items include: approving new police officers, reviewing a grant for a downtown mural, a proposal for LED Stop signs, and annual appropriation bond refinancing.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm in the Council Chambers in Stuart City Hall.
