Before he officially starts his duties on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers football staff, long time Panorama head coach Lyle Alumbaugh has to hand over the reigns of his former program. The leadership change for Panorama football has already begun as the district’s Board of Education earlier this month approved Michael Kauzlarich as the new head football coach and sixth-grade teacher. Alumbaugh spoke with Raccoon Valley Radio Thursday afternoon about his new position at ADM and his thoughts on his successor at Panorama. He says his first interaction with Kauzlarich was earlier this month. “Mike (Kauzlarich) and I met at the IFCA coaches clinic during the first week in March,” Alumbaugh said, “We had a good visit, (he’s) very enthusiastic, high energy young man with quite a lot of experience for his age and I think he’ll do just a great job.”
