easter eggs

The Easter season is upon us, and children and families in Adel will get a jump start today and tomorrow.

At 10:30 a.m. today, Adel Acres will be hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community. Children ages 10 and under are invited to the care center, located at 1919 Greene Street in Adel, for their yearly search for treats. Additionally, tomorrow there will be another opportunity to get some Easter goodies. The Adel Kiwanis Club is holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 3 p.m. at Kinnick Feller Park. They will have an appearance by the Easter Bunny, fire trucks from the Adel Fire Department, face painting, prizes, and even some real, live bunnies. There will be staggered start times with four different age groups to make sure everyone has an opportunity to get some treats.

In case of inclement weather, the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be moved to the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School gymnasium. There is no cost to attend either event.
