Greene County Relay for Life luminarias are now available for purchase.

Luminarias are a way to honor those loved ones who are fighting cancer, in remembrance of someone who lost their battle with the disease, or a caregiver. Luminarias can be decorated by the individual that purchases it, or by one of the committee members. Plus, there is an Angel luminaria for those special caregivers.

A number of luminarias have been on display throughout the county. Next week, the luminarias will be at Community State Bank in Paton, followed by the week of April 1st at Peoples Trust and Savings Bank in Scranton. The final stop for the display will be at the Masonic Lodge in Jefferson from April 8th through the 21st.

Order forms are available at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.

The main event will take place at the community center on Saturday, April 21st from 9am to 2pm. All proceeds will go back to the American Cancer Society.
