Since going winless in his first season with the program in 2015, the West Central Valley football team has seen progress in the team’s win/loss record under the direction of Eric Addy. The Wildcats posted three wins in Addy’s third season last fall, and yesterday West Central Valley found out the full slate of opponents they’ll face on the gridiron starting in August.The Wildcats are considered a Class 1A football institution and their first four games of the season are nondistrict matchups against the Des Moines Christian Lions, the Earlham Cardinals, the Southwest Valley Timberwolves, and the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. West Central Valley was put in Class 1A District 9 with the AC/GC Chargers, the Clarinda Cardinals, the Mount Ayr Raiders, the Panorama Panthers, and the Class 1A defending champion Van Meter Bulldogs.
