The Greene County Democratic Party is holding their county convention this Saturday.

Chair Chris Henning says the public is invited to attend the county convention at Jefferson City Hall starting with registrations at 8:30am and the convention will begin at 9. She points out that only elected delegates and alternates will be able to vote throughout the convention. Delegates and alternates will be selected at the convention, along with the county’s platforms.  Primary platform topics include: campaigns and elections, civil rights and civil liberties, social security and taxes, legislative affairs and veterans.

The delegates and alternates  from the county convention will then move on to the district convention scheduled for April 28th.
