There’s only a few days left for those interested in running for a county-elected office to submit nomination forms.
According to the Greene County Auditor’s office, as of Monday morning, a few candidates have submitted their forms. Republican incumbents Dawn Rudolph for Supervisor District 2 and Tom Contner for Supervisor District 3 submitted their papers. Democrat incumbent for County Recorder Marcia Tasler also filed her papers. Libertarian candidate Thomas Laehn will be on the ballot for County Attorney, following the retirement of long-time County Attorney Nic Martino. Democrat incumbent for County Treasurer Donna Lawson took out papers, but hasn’t submitted them yet.
The deadline to file nomination papers is Wednesday, March 28th at 5pm at the Auditor’s office. Minimum signature requirements to be on the ballot include: 57 for Republicans, 34 for Democrats and four for Libertarians. Contact the County Auditor’s office at 386-5680 for more information.
