Another season of girls soccer kicks off this evening, and the school districts of West Central Valley, Nodaway Valley, and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center are coming together once again to form a team. Michael Krawcyk is beginning his 13th season as the head coach of the consolidated girl’s soccer program, which has had a winning season every spring under his tenure. Krawcyk spoke with Raccoon Valley Radio last week about the start of preseason practice today and storylines ahead of another season. He explains how the districts divide up their resources. “The way it works is home games are split between Greenfield and Stuart,” Krawcyk said, “It’s the same for practice as well.”
He adds the AC/GC players drive down to Stuart every day and they use West Central Valley’s bus to get over to practices in Greenfield. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC girls soccer team’s season opener is April 5 with a road contest against the Creston Panthers. Hear an interview with coach Kracyk on the Karl Chevrolet of Stuart Guthrie County PM Sports Page, tonight at 6 p.m. on True Country K 107.9.
