The ACGC girls track team is a week away from the first full invitational of the season in Jefferson. The girls will participate in the Greene County Invitational a week from today. The invite includes athletes from: Paton-Churdan, Manson Northwest Webster, GIlbert, North Polk, Ogden, and South Hamilton.

A dozen Charger girls got their seasons off to a good start at the Iowa State indoor Classic in Ames last week. Sophomore Kate Crawford highlighted the contingent with a tenth place finish in the 3000 meter run. She finished quicker than any other runner in the West Central Activities Conference, coming across the line after just over eleven minutes. Senior Mady Smith also had the best finish for any WCAC runner in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing in 12th. Junior Madison McDermott had the other top 15 finish for the black and gold, placing 13th in the shot put.
