An Ankeny man was arrested recently in Perry on rape allegations.

According to online court records, 28-year-old Eric Chandler Parmenter was arrested Friday on four counts of third degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. The complaint came on March 10th, and a warrant was issued on March 12th. Parmenter was then arrested by the Perry Police Department on March 16th. He was transported to the Dallas County Jail, and had his initial appearance in court on Saturday. His bond was set at $10,000, which was met and he was released. Parmenter will have is preliminary hearing on Tuesday, March 27th at 11 a.m.
