acgcWith the ISU Indoor Classic come and gone, the ACGC boys track and field team has the season off to a good start. Nine individuals and two relay teams represented the Chargers in Ames, with senior Caden Wardyn finishing in 5th place in the long jump.

While it’s early in the season, Head Coach Tyler Mosbach is pleased with the direction the team is headed and is confident the team as a whole can improve from their inaugural season. “Everybody has been working really hard and I’m excited to see what they’re going to do. Comparing our time trial times to last year, we’re right where we were…I expect some pretty good things.”

The Chargers qualified a 4×200 meter relay team to last year’s Class 2A State Tournament at Drake Stadium. The team featured Wardyn and finished in 18th place. The boys will begin their full meet schedule in Audubon on Tuesday, March 27th.
