Tomorrow, two school competitions welcome public support. Speech contestants from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, Panorama, and West Central Valley will compete at the State Individual Speech contest at Nevada High School. The three schools combined will send 50 entries. Participants that receive an overall “I” rating from the three-judge panel, along with judge’s recommendations, will qualify to perform at the All-State Festival at the end of the month. The event is open to the public at a suggested free-will donation.

ffaWest Central Valley will also send FFA members to the South Central District Convention in Grinnell. Students will participate in contests, vote for next year’s District officers, and enjoy camaraderie with members from over 40 schools. The top two in most contests will advance to the State Convention next month at Iowa State University.
