Republicanlogo.svgThe first county convention ahead of the June primaries is happening tomorrow in Jefferson.

The Greene County Republican Party is having their county convention at the Greene County Courthouse. Iowa Republican Central Committee member John Thompson says the meeting is open to the public and they will elect seven delegates for the district convention scheduled for April 28th. Thompson adds that they will also determine the county’s platforms for the next two years. Following the district convention, the state Republican Convention will be held on June 16th.

The Greene County Republican Convention will begin at 9am tomorrow.
