A grant from a local organization was recently awarded to Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program.
The after school program for Perry students received $4,500 from the Human Needs Grant Committee of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. The money was donated on behalf of the Wiese Foundation to help the program, which is largely funded through sources such as this. PACES is in its 18th year of existence, and has been self-funded since 2015. The program provides after school education and activities to a wide variety of students in the Perry School District, ranging in age from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
