The states best male high school athletes descended on Cedar Falls Tuesday for the annual Dickinson Relays hosted by the University of Northern Iowa Track Team. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys track team was represented at the meet by a dozen athletes performing in a wide range of events. ADM finished in the middle of the pack in each competition with no one placing better than 14th in a single event.
Highlighting ADM at the Dickinson Relays was freshman Tate Stine-Smith, who tied for 14th place overall in the high jump competition with a top recorded leap of 5′ 10″. Junior Lucas Heitz produced the 21st fastest run in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles at 9.11 seconds. Senior Trey Volz placed 35th in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash with a race time of 7.41 seconds.
The ADM boys track athletes will return to competition next Tuesday in the 25th Annual Iowa State High School Classic hosted by the Iowa State University Track team.
