The ACGC Charger boys basketball season may have ended nearly a month ago, but head coach Jake Mohling is still learning from his players. Mohling discussed his thoughts on the season on last night’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page.
Mohling says he benefits greatly from player’s comments at the end of the season. “I learn from these kids every day. I’ll do my end-of-the-year evaluations and there’s always one piece of feedback that I get from a kid that really just sticks with me and I hope that continues on for the rest of my career.
Mohling ended the discussion with a strong statement on his coaching future. “I hope I never get to the point where I can’t learn from my kids anymore. If I ever do get to that point, I probably need to be done coaching. They’re great kids and I think we all need to do more listening to them.”
Mohling wrapped up his third year as the boys head coach. The Chargers finished the season at 3-19.
