The Perry Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of their new Executive Director, Lynsi Pasutti.
Pasutti currently lives in Stuart, where she operates her own small business, has been President of the Stuart Chamber, is the current President of the Guthrie County Arts Council, and has played a vital role with the Midwest Partnership Economic Development Corporation. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that when the opportunity to work with the Perry Chamber came up, she felt it was something she would both enjoy and be very good at. “I believe that chamber of commerces are fantastic organizations for areas, for the businesses to be a part of a network, and to really build up community vitality. And so in my past work experience, working with chambers and being involved in a community, I really feel that that’s my place. And so when this opportunity opened up, and I think Perry’s awesome, it all fell into place. And so I’m excited to be a part of it!”
The Perry Chamber has been looking for an Executive Director since Bob Wilson resigned last August. Chamber Board President Emily Leslie says before they even began to consider applications, they wanted to make sure they had a firm grasp of their goals and vision. She adds, once they began accepting applications, Pasutti’s jumped out at them. “She has economic development experience, she also owns a small business for herself, and she has chamber experience. In our eyes as a Chamber Board, that’s exactly what we were looking for. Somebody that has all of those pillars to bring to our community as a new Chamber Director. So I’m really excited for Lynsi, I think she’s got the small businesses in mind, and she knows exactly what they need to be successful. So that’s what we were really excited for for Lynsi.”
