A former Dallas Center pastor was recently sentenced to probation in Dallas County District Court.
Sources say 53-year-old Randy August Johnson pled guilty to one count of child endangerment resulting in injury and one count of indecent exposure. Johnson entered an Alford plea to the charges, meaning that he doesn’t admit guilt, but concedes that there would be enough evidence to convict him at trial. Sources say he was sentenced to three years of probation for the child endangerment charge and two years of probation for the indecent exposure charge. Both sentences are to run concurrently.
Johnson was originally facing 13 charges when he was arrested in January of 2017 including: four Class C felonies for third degree sex abuse, a Class C felony for lascivious acts with a child, along with three counts of indecent contact with a child, two counts of indecent exposure, two counts of assault with intent to commit sex abuse, and one count of child endangerment. Sources say the judgement stems from when Johnson sexually abusing his adopted daughter when she was a minor.
