One of the strengths of this year’s Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team (9-14 overall) was their ability to crash the glass. The final results for all eight Raccoon River Conference teams are in, and the Tigers ranked second in the league with 732 total rebounds. The Boone Toreadors ended the season as the leaders in rebounds with 773 total. ADM’s 291 offensive rebounds were the most among the eight-team conference and ranked fifth overall in Class 4A entering the state basketball tournament. Sophomore Delaney Bertman topped ADM with 167 total rebounds, the third most secured by any Raccoon River Conference player. The ADM girls basketball season ended in the regional semifinals February 17 against the Lewis Central Titans, 57-25. The Tigers will celebrate their season with an end of year banquet this Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
