A Jamaica man was sentenced to probation in Greene County District Court for an August 2017 incident.
According to court documents, 31-year-old Jesse Lynn Crawford pled guilty to a Class D Felony for third degree burglary. He had his five-year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for three years.
The charge stems from an assault incident on August 4, 2017 in the 200 block of East Perry Street in Jefferson. Crawford and 32-year-old Amanda Lawrence of Scranton broke into Crawford’s ex-girlfriend’s rental residence and assaulted her and her boyfriend, who was living at the residence.
As per his plea agreement, the state dropped all other charges including: felonies for two counts of assault while participating in a felony and an aggravated misdemeanor for first degree harassment. Lawrence was sentenced to three years of probation this past December, after pleading guilty to the same charge of third degree burglary.
