ACGC WrestlingThe results may not have been the ones Charger freshman grappler Seth Danker was hoping to achieve at “The Well” this week. However, his father and head coach Shawn Danker knows the team’s commitment to get to the final weekend of the season is a tremendous accomplishment in itself.

Following the District tournament in Guthrie Center last Saturday, Coach Danker said he was proud of his team for helping his son get to the state tournament in Des Moines. “As they battled all year long, they’ve prepped each other. They helped prep Seth to make it this far and be successful. Seth’s the one moving on but the team is the one that helped get him that goal to reach the state tournament.”

He thanks the community for all their support, especially at their three home tournaments this year. Seth Danker finishes his first state tournament appearance with a record of 33-13 and joins junior Blaine Beeler as the only two Chargers with at least 30 victories.
