As we close in on Valentine’s Day, the Greene County Chamber and Tourism reminds everyone to think local.

Chamber Tourism and Events Coordinator Michael Reese says spending money locally helps everyone in the community.

“I know it’s always easy to hop online, or if you’re going to Des Moines, or whatever. But to be honest everyone needs to look at our local retailers. Again support those local businesses. Keep your dollars here because it’s just recycled through the economy, and it’s one of those deals where everyone benefits from it.”

He adds that a number of Chamber businesses have special offers going on now for Valentine’s Day.
