Adults looking for some winter fun activities still have time to join the Jefferson Library’s Adult Winter Reading Program.
Library Director Jane Millard says the program is focusing on the theme “Blaze Your Own Trail,” and specifically on the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder and her Little House on the Prairie series. She points out that the program runs from now until March 17th.
“I encourage anyone who hasn’t been in the library in the last couple of weeks that’s interested in participating to please come in soon, pick up your packet and get credit for reading this winter.”
Participants can earn prizes by completing various tasks in an activity packet. Millard explains why she continues to have the Adult Winter Reading Program.
“It’s a time where the people who enjoy reading can work on a common goal, come together for our programs, and get to know some other readers in the community. (They also can) Just enjoy talking about that experience of reading and share that together.”
The program is free to join. Stop by the library to sign up.
