Perry Ready to Launch Kickoff of Dewey Field Complex Renovation

Perry school superintendent Clark Wicks will launch a kickoff presentation for the Dewey Field Complex Renovation Project this Friday night during halftime of the boys varsity game with Bondurant Farrar.  Wicks will announce that the 350,000 Pete VanKirk donation will be matched by the Perry Community School District.  Wicks will also announce a second 75,000 matching grant has been offered.

The Dewey Field Complex Renovation Project is underway.

A $350,000 donation from the Pete VanKirk Memorial has been matched by the Perry Community School District.

 

A second matching donation of $75,000 has been offered.

The Dewey Field Complex

  • Home of Ralph Dewey Field, Jim Kaufman Track, and Harold Bailey Press Box.
  • High School & Middle School Football, High School and Middle School Marching Band, High School Boys & Girls Soccer, High School and Middle School Boys & Girls Track & Field, and High School & Middle School Vocational Tech programs benefit from the facility

The project involves four phases.

  • Phase I: New Entry, New Ticket Booths, Pete VanKirk Plaza, New Concessions/Rest Rooms Building, North Side Bleacher Expansion.
  • Phase II: New Harold Bailey Press Box, North Side Bleacher Expansion.
  • Phase III: Jim Kaufman Track Renovation.
  • Phase IV: Ralph Dewey Field Turf Renovation.
