The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today.

Midwest Partnership Executive Director Sarah Gomez and Iowa Workforce Development Region 8 Coordinator Sherri Vaughn will present on the Home Base Iowa Initiative. Home Base Iowa is a state program aimed at matching veterans with places of employment, and making other transitions as smooth as possible. The Board will then seek approval on a resolution supporting the program.

The Board will also hear 2019 fiscal year budget presentations from several departments, including: Libraries, Custodial, Facilities Management, Information Technology, and General Services. The Board will also consider the following action items: a renewal of the 2018-2019 Iowa Governmental Health Care Plan (IGHCP), the county farm lease, and a review of the 2017 county zoning permits report. The meeting will conclude with a budget workshop.

The meeting begins at 9am in the Supervisors’ Room at the Guthrie County Courthouse.
