greene county historical societyGreene County residents are reminded of a $25.5 million bond referendum vote for Iowa Central Community College to improve and upgrade various different campuses and buildings in the 19-county region tomorrow.

Those in the Greene County School District have three polling locations to cast their ballot. The location for the Jefferson precinct is the South Assembly Room of the Greene County Courthouse. The Grand Junction precinct voting location will be at the St. Brigid Parish Center. The Scranton precinct will be at the Scranton Community Center.

Those voting in the Paton-Churdan School District have only one location. Both the Paton and Churdan precincts will vote at the Churdan Community Center.

The Greene County Auditor’s office reminds all eligible voters that they must provide a legal form of identification at the polling location, before they can vote. Any pre-registered voters who are unable to show proper identification may have to sign an oath of identification for any election held this year. Voters who are not pre-registered or who have changed precincts may also be required to provide proof of residence. These changes were made by the Iowa legislature last year.

The polls will be open from noon to 8pm on Tuesday.
