A Coon Rapids man was sentenced to probation in Guthrie County District Court Monday for Operating While Intoxicated-third or subsequent offense, a Class D Felony.
According to court documents, District Judge Brad McCall sentenced 33-year-old Bryan Gene Snell to three years probation for the felony charge. The original sentencing was five years in prison, but that was suspended by McCall. Additionally Snell plead guilty to one count of driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, and was sentenced to two additional years of probation. As part of the plea agreement, the court dismissed a charge for driving with a revoked or denied license, along with two other misdemeanors.
Snell will serve the five years concurrently with a three-year probation sentence from an incident in Greene County. He was also required to pay nearly $6,000 in fines and court fees. The Guthrie County incidents occured in May.
