guthrie county arts councilLove is in the air, and several organizations and venues will be celebrating arguably the most romantic time of the year. The Guthrie County Arts Council is doing their part to help celebrate with a Valentine Dinner and Concert Friday, February 9th at the Cabbage Rose Restaurant in Guthrie Center.

The night begins with wine and chocolate tasting from 5-6pm, with the dinner and concert to follow. The dinner includes a chicken or pork meal and the concert features duo Chris Muhlbauer and Alan Smith, who make up The Raccoon River Boys. The pair will perform a variety of classic rock, country, and blues music.

Event spokesperson Dale Menning urges interested participants to get their tickets as soon as possible. “I would sure advise people to try to get a ticket as soon as they can. We’re getting pretty well filled up. We have 70 that we can probably serve down at Cabbage Rose and we’re in the 50s right now. So don’t wait. Don’t fall asleep.”

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Art on State.
