Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it, and the Adel Public Library is offering free programs to those that love it, and those that hate it.

On Wednesday, February 7th, the library invites teens and pre-teens to their “Down with Cupid” Anti-Valentine’s Day Party. The event will start at 4 p.m., and activities will include making black duct tape roses, blackout poetry, and games. The library staff also promises they will avoid all foods in the shape of hearts. Conversely, for those that love the holiday, the library will be hosting a Valentine’s Day celebration on Wednesday, February 14th. Kids are invited to make Valentine cards for the residents of Adel Acres and Adel Assisted Living in a heart-themed environment. There will also be enough craft supplies available for attendees to make something for their special someone.

There is no cost for either event, and registration is not required. To learn more about these and other events at the Adel Library, visit AdelPL.org.
