When the undefeated South Hamilton boys’ visit the middle school gym in Jefferson tonight for Heart of Iowa Activities Conference basketball, they’ll face a Greene County team that’s been shooting the ball extremely well as of late.

Coach Chris Nelson’s team is 63 for 131 from three-point range in its last eight games. The last five have been ever better at 42 of 83 beyond the arc. Leading the way has been junior Trey Hinote, who has been 25 of 42 for 59% from three-point range in the past five games.

The Hawks are 18-0 overall and have wrapped up their second straight HOIAC title. They are 12-0 in the league. The Rams are 10-6 overall and 8-4 in the conference. SH won the first meeting 64-56 on Jan. 5 in Jewell behind a 17-0 second quarter scoring run.
