A deadline for livestock verification is fast approaching for Greene County 4-H’ers.

Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says all 4-H’ers who participated in the market beef weigh-in last month, have until February 1st to verify the information on their 4-H online profile. She adds that for all other livestock species, the deadline to verify information for this year’s county fair is May 15th. Mannel talks about another deadline that also happens on May 15th.

“If you want to be in the (county) fair for 2018, that is the final day to enroll in 4-H. Now if you’re a new family there is no late fee (after May 15th) but if you’re an ongoing 4-H member or family, there will be a $25 late fee per family.”
