The Iowa County Caucuses are coming up next week.

Greene County residents will have the opportunity to participate in either the Democratic or Republican caucuses. Greene County Democratic Party Chair Chris Henning says all Democratic precincts are to report to the Jefferson City Hall for caucuses on Monday, February 5th. Those interested in participating must be signed-in or in line by 7pm.

The Greene County Republican Party has seven different sites for their caucus. The central precinct will report to Clover Hall, the east precinct will be at the Grand Junction Community Center, the west precinct location is at Scranton City Hall and the north precinct will meet at the Churdan Community Center. Additionally, the first Jefferson precinct location is at the Greene County Elementary School, the second Jefferson precinct is at Abundant Life Ministries and the third precinct will meet at the Greene County courthouse.

Each precinct will elect members to the central committee, along with electing delegates and junior delegates to the county convention. Additionally, there will be discussions and voting on platform planks for the county convention.
