Warren Coleman Award 2017-2018
Guthrie Center Lions Club President George Hemmen presents Crouthamel with the Warren Coleman Honorary Award.

A local Guthrie Center resident recently received one of the Iowa Lions Foundation’s highest achievements. The Foundation awarded Kristen Crouthamel with the Warren Coleman Honorary Award in recognition for her service to the organization.

The award is the highest honor conferred by the Foundation and is named for its longtime Executive Secretary-Treasurer. The award is given to members who demonstrate a deep commitment to the organization’s ideals, community service, and assisting those in need. Crouthamel was nominated by fellow Guthrie Center Lions Club members, and was recently presented with a plaque by Club President George Hemmen. Crouthamel was humbled by the award and thanked her fellow Lions for all their support. She has been a member of the organization for three years and was a previous club president.

The Iowa Lions are part of the world’s largest service organization with 46,000 clubs, totalling over 1.4 million members in over 200 countries and geographic areas. The Iowa Lions Foundation acts as a steward for many sight and hearing impaired programs across the state.
