Greene County will be filled with Youth basketball teams this Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 27-28). It’s the Play for Him Academy tournament for girls and boys in grades six, seven, and eight. Director Jeramie Hinotes explains. “It’s the Play for Him Winter Ice Storm Tournament with 44 teams and a lot of friendly faces, so we’re looking forward to it.”

Three different facilities will be used for games and two of those are in Jefferson. They are the Greene County Community Center and the Greene County middle school gym. The Scranton Community Center will also be the site of games. Action on Saturday and Sunday begins at 8 a.m. and games are scheduled to continue until around 7 p.m.

Coach Hinote added, “It’s two fun-filled days of basketball!”
