The 100+ People for Perry group met Monday evening to discuss their two years of existence and look forward to the road ahead.

The group was founded in 2016 with a mission to invest in Perry’s future through supporting current charities, non-profit groups, and worthy projects that improve the community. Their goal is to give four large donations every year to organizations within Perry. At the meeting, they discussed how to get more people involved on both the project and membership side of the group. The membership emphasized they’re not a secret organization and anyone is welcome to join if they have a heart for giving.

To date, the 100+ People for Perry has donated $52,500 to eight different organizations, ranging from a church, to the school, to the McCreary Center. Their first official donation meeting of 2018 will be on Monday, February 26th at La Poste. The members are asked to donate $100 at each meeting, with 100% of the donation staying in the Perry community.
