hotel pattee

The prospective new owners of the Hotel Pattee in Perry have been revealed.

Wednesday evening, Tom and Vickie Maxwell were introduced to investors at a special reception. The couple hails from the Edwardsville area in southern Illinois, but were quite taken by the historic hotel in Perry. They hope to help the hotel grow, while also maintaining what has made it so special in the first place. The original price tag on the 100-year-old building was $2.5 million, though the final sale price is unknown.

Jay and Denise Hartz have owned Hotel Pattee since 2013, helping it to thrive the last four years. However, they decided to sell it and move to Florida for health reasons. The plan at the moment is to close the transaction by March 1st, with the Hartzes agreeing to stay on for up to three months to help the transition.
