Dallas Co Supervisors 1-9

Dallas County has made its first payments for work completed on the new law enforcement center, and it took some digging to make it happen.

McAninch Corporation was hired to do the excavating work on the site, though the County had yet to receive a pay request from the contractor. Jerry Purdy from Design Alliance said they asked around and discovered the requests were sent to the Samuels Group. The construction manager had found out through reviewing the pay requests that they were submitted on the wrong form, so they were working to get the issue corrected before bringing them before the Board of Supervisors.

Because of the delay, the Board was tasked with approving two pay requests for work completed in November and December. The first request was for $138,539.93, and the second for $7,696.67. The Supervisors approved the payments, catching them up with the contractor. So far, the law enforcement center project is both ahead of schedule and under budget.
