The City of Perry recently became the owners of a wind turbine, after it was donated by HR Green, an engineering and technical consulting firm.
The turbine in question is located on the west end of the City near the Water Works facility. The firm and the City had an easement and rental agreement for the turbine and the land it occupies, which dated back to 2010. However, HR Green no longer wanted to continue with the project, so they requested termination of the easement and donation of the property to the City. The Perry City Council accepted the donation, though they are unsure exactly how they will utilize the wind turbine in the future.
