After 10 games of the 2017-18 high school basketball seasons, both the girls and boys teams at Paton-Churdan have identical 5-5 records. Both played twice over the weekend, going 1-1 with losses to Ar-We-Va (Westside) and victories over West Harrison (Mondamin). All four games were in Churdan. The P-C teams host two more doubleheaders in Churdan in their next two outings with CAM (Anita) visiting tomorrow night and Woodbine coming in on Jan. 16.
The P-C girls are shooting nearly 41% from the floor, including 39.7% from three-point range. They are making 56.4 percent of free throw attempts, and average 36.4 points per game. Danielle Hoyle at 12.1 and Jenna Beyers at 11.9 points per game are the leading scorers. They also top the team in rebounds per game at 8.0 and 6.8 per contest.
