The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting will be the first one of the year run by 2018 Board Chairman, Brad Golightly. One of the first items on the agenda is discussion on budget funding requests for the 2018 fiscal year from several organizations, including: the Library Association; Dallas County Fair Board; Discover Dallas County; Homecare Services; and the Housing Trust Fund Authority. At 9:30 a.m. the Board will hold a public hearing for the second reading of proposed amendments to the countywide local option sales and services tax.
The Supervisors will also discuss two Secondary Roads Department issues, including holding another public hearing on the vacation of a road, and consideration of an agreement for designated Iowa byways jurisdiction. Other items on the agenda include: consideration of an opioid litigation engagement letter; discussion of the Dallas County master plan; and two pay applications to McAninch Corporation for their work on the new law enforcement center. The meeting will conclude with a possible closed session on pending litigation.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
