The first competition of the new year kept the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team home Friday night. The Tigers resumed the second half of their season hosting the Bondurant Farrar Blue Jays in their first Raccoon River Conference matchup of the season. ADM led wire-to-wire, scoring the first 10 points of the game in a 49-24 victory. The Tigers defense allowed five total points combine between the first and third quarters. Sophomore Abbie Hlas led ADM’s scoring attack with 19 points, including 10 points alone in the third quarter. The win propels ADM’s conference record above .500 at 3-2, improving their overall record to 4-7. The Tigers return to the floor Tuesday on the road in a Raccoon River Conference matchup with the Carlisle Wildcats. The ADM boys basketball team dropped their sixth straight game in a row, falling to Bondurant Farrar, 61-55. Listen to Monday’s local sports page for results from the game.
