Another candidate for the United States Congress will be coming to Perry soon for a meet and greet.
Eddie Mauro is running to represent Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, and will be the third democratic candidate for the seat to visit Perry ahead of this year’s primary. Mauro is one of several democrats vying for the congressional seat currently occupied by republican Representative David Young. The Perry Area Democrats invited him to talk to the public about his ideas, and listen to the citizens’ thoughts and concerns. The meet and greet will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Perry Public LIbrary. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.
