The second half of the high school basketball season begins tomorrow night for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers basketball teams. The Tigers welcome the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays to Adel for the first Raccoon River Conference game of the season. Before resuming competition, let’s take a look back at ADM’s first half of the season and where they rank in the league standings.
The ADM girls basketball team (3-7 overall) enters 2018 tied with the Carlisle Wildcats for the fourth-best record inside the Raccoon River Conference at two wins and two losses. ADM started their season losing their first five games. The Tigers first win came out of conference, defeating the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders, 62-23, on December 11. ADM’s conference victories came against Perry (38-13) on December 15 and at Carroll (58-45) on December 19.
The ADM boys basketball team (2-6 overall) shares the bottom spot of the Raccoon River Conference standings with the Bondurant Farrar Bluejays with each team losing four league games in 2017. ADM posts a 2-2 nonconference record, including the schools first ever win against the Pella Christian Eagles, 65-63, on November 28. The Tigers closed 2017 with five straight losses.
