Panorama-Panthers-Picture112Old Man Winter reared its ugly head this past week with frigid temperatures and plenty of precipitation. With that comes the necessity to stay alert and informed to any cancellations and delays. The Panorama School District has a series of ways to inform parents, students, and community members of any changes to the schedule, including contacting Raccoon Valley Radio.

Superintendent Shawn Holloway explains the procedure for alerting the community. “As soon as that decision is made, it’s probably a two-to-five minute turnaround where it’s posted with you guys (Raccoon Valley Radio) on the radio, on our Facebook page, (and) we’ll get out a message through our student information system, Infinite Campus.”

While there are many ways to stay informed about cancellations and delays at Panorama Schools, Holloway highlights one in particular. “Listening to you guys (Raccoon Valley Radio) on the radio is a great place to start. We always make sure we communicate there. You’re one of our first calls.”

As always, tune in to Raccoon Valley Radio whenever severe weather threatens our listening areas. Our Severe Weather Action Team will be on alert to bring you the latest storm information, road conditions, cancellations, and delays.
