Students at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School will have a chance to show off their scientific achievements Friday, January 12th at the AC/GC Science Fair. All students will participate in the fair during the day’s judging, and many will receive placings and special awards.
Later that night over 125 research projects will be on display during Science Night at the high school, with some of the students available to answer questions about their projects. The event will also include a spaghetti supper for a free will donation, and a silent auction. All proceeds will go towards expenses to send qualifying students to other competitions, as well as equipment to complete future projects.
Students have the opportunity to attend four different science competitions before the end of the school year, where they can earn scholarships, prizes, and all-expense paid trips to the International Science and Engineering Fair in May. The dinner and auction will start at approximately 5pm. The projects and auction items will be on display in the junior high gymnasium in Guthrie Center, with the supper taking place in the commons.
